Terms and conditions
All our products are handmade in our Montreal, Canada, workshop. Our goal is to offer the best finish possible. We put a lot of attention to detail, time and care into our products. As each product is one-of-a-kind, there may be slight differences in the finish and size. We attempt to show as best as we can a true likeness of our products in our photo gallery found on our website. It is still important to consult our technical data sheet to learn more about our products.
MDT Mobilier cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage caused by the use of any of its products, including, but not limited to, any damage arising from negligence, changes made to the product, any type of accident, normal wear of the product, overload or incorrect assembly of the product. We also cannot be held responsible for any improper installation that could damage the furniture, cause collateral damage or impact a person’s health or safety.
To respect our commitment to offer quality products, we accept returns of standard-sized products from our collection. There is no return on customized products except in the case of a defective product, damage during shipping or a manufacturing defect.
All deliveries should be inspected by the customer upon reception. Any damage to the shipping box and/or product must be photographed and noted. Customers must send proof of damage to us by email. Please keep proof of damage for your records, along with the damage box, if applicable. All return requests must be made within 5 days of reception (see return procedure). We reserve the right to assess the product’s condition. If judged defective or damaged by our team, we will replace it with the same product. Products must be returned in their original packaging, failing which they may be refused.
All requests must be made within 5 days of reception. Products must not have been installed (if applicable) or used in any way. No return will be accepted without MDT Mobilier’s authorization. We do not cover any shipping brokerage or customs fees, or foreign shipping taxes for all initial deliveries and returns. Theses costs will not be refunded to the customer. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
For all return, please follow these steps:

2- Indicate ‘’RETURN (your order number)’’ in the subject line (e.g., RETURN #12345)
3- In the email, describe the reason for the return and if there is any damage to the shipping box or product . Provide a link to photos or attach to email.
Return will be authorized within 24 to 48 hours (business days).
Unfortunately, we do not accept any exchanges. Please consult our return or cancellation sections and proceed with a new order if necessary.
Orders may be cancelled with 48 hours of placing them. Please follow the return procedure via email. If your request is accepted, we will refund the entirety of your order. No request will be authorized after the 48-hour period and customers will have to follow the steps given in the return policy.
All our products are made to order. Orders generally take 3 to 5 weeks to fill. Unless there is a prior agreement been MDT Mobilier and the customer, products will be shipped within this delay. Once an order is shipped, customers will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number (if applicable). Shipping within Canada normally takes 3 to 5 business days; for the United States and Europe, please allow 4 to 7 days. For other countries and regions, please contact us. Note that these times may be subject to change for different reasons. We have no control once product is in transit; weather and mishandling by shipper may increase delivery time. We are not responsible whatsoever for any brokerage or customs fees, or additional taxes related to the destination country and will not cover these charges.
For our local customers, we offer a custom-made option, for residential and commercial projects. It is important to note that Return policy, exchange, cancellation and shipping conditions do not apply to our custom-made projects. General terms and custom-made policy do apply to custom-made orders.
It is important for us to offer the best service possible. Our standard fabrication times are 30 to 45 business days depending on the project, except in the case of a specific agreement between MDT Mobilier and the customer. MDT Mobilier may extend the delivery date at any time. If this is the case, customers will be notified as soon as possible. We sometimes use external suppliers for different applications (steel, glass, laser cutting, powder-coat finishing, etc.). Delivery times of these suppliers are out of our control. We do our utmost to respect any initial delivery agreement.
Quote request, deposit and payment
For all quote requests, write us at firstname.lastname@example.org All other requests via Instagram, Facebook or other will automatically be redirected to our email address via a private message from MDT Mobilier. No quotes will be made via social media. After a quote has been agreed upon, a 50% deposit will be required to proceed with manufacturing. The balance of the payment is due upon delivery or 30 days net, depending on the agreement made prior to ordering. The deposit represents the cost of materials and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Quality and measurements
A technical drawing has to be supplied by the customer, designer, architect or other. If not possible, we will create a shop drawing for you with measurements taken on-site (if necessary) by our team after agreement of the quote and payment of the deposit. Shop drawings will then have to be approved. If the drawing is supplied by the customer, designer, architect or other, the latter will be liable for the measurements provided. We place great importance on a quality finish, As Such, all measurment errors and manufacturing defects made by MDT Mobilier will be corrected by our team immediately.
